About the location
With the intention of bringing visitors to Lapland a more authentic, wilderness Arctic experience, Enontekio is commonly referred to as ‘True Lapland.’
Positioned at the heart of ‘True Lapland’, The Davvi Arctic Lodge is located on the official Northern Lights Route (designated by the governments of Finland, Sweden and Norway as one of the best areas in the world to sight the Aurora Borealis). Surrounded by reindeer reserves and sporadic Sami populations, the Lapland experience delivered is as authentic and as genuine as can be achieved – a far cry from the shopping malls and fast-food restaurants of Rovaniemi. Boasting a frozen river on the doorstep on which to snowmobile, countless frozen lakes on which to snowshoe, and the best Santa’s cabin in Lapland!
