So to combat our carbon emissions, we plant trees through Treedom and minimise paper waste by recycling brochures and plastic bottles while opting for digital communication whenever possible. Energy-efficient measures such as installing passive infrared sensors ensure that lights are turned off when not in use. Furthermore, we have eliminated non-reusable plastic wallets for travel money to reduce our carbon footprint.
We promote tour operators who prioritise environmental and social responsibility and suggest alternative travel methods to mitigate pollution where possible. Additionally, we encourage travelers to engage in positive actions during their trips, such as volunteering or supporting local businesses. To acknowledge these efforts, clients demonstrating a commitment to sustainable travel will receive a £50 gift voucher for their next holiday, reinforcing our mission to leave a positive impact on the communities we visit.
Treedom
In an effort to mitigate the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions generated by air travel, we have pledged to plant trees worldwide throughout the year. This initiative not only helps in reducing emissions by converting CO2 into oxygen but also promotes biodiversity and supports small communities, contributing to the fight against climate change.
Business class flights produce three times more CO2 compared to economy flights, highlighting the environmental impact of this travel class. Acknowledging this, we are taking an additional step: for every customer booked in a business or first-class cabin, we will plant an extra tree.
Although these efforts may seem small, if we all took similar steps, the cumulative effect could lead to significant improvements for our planet.
